Bids and RFP's
- For Solicitations released after May 31, 2022,
M-DCPS will no longer be accepting submittals of bids in hard copy format. All Bids must be submitted electronically via Demandstar. Said bids will be publicly opened and read virtually
via zoom at 2:00PM.
- Award recommendations will be available, no
later than the Friday preceding the scheduled Board meeting award. It is the
vendor's responsibility to review this website for Notices of Intended Action.
The results of bids awarded at the official School Board meetings will be available on the web or
in the Division of Procurement Management Services on the Monday following the
meetings. The Board reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject
any and all bids.
- The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, enacts a Cone
of Silence whenever a solicitation is issued. The Cone of Silence shall terminate
at the time the item is presented by the Superintendent to the appropriate Board
committee immediately prior to the Board meeting at which the Board will award or
approve a contract, reject all bids or responses, or take any other action that
ends the solicitation and review process. All provisions of School Board Rule 6325-Cone of Silence apply.
- The School Board shall provide notice of intended action
concerning a bid solicitation or a contract award as follows:
For a bid solicitation or request for proposal, notice shall be given by
United States Mail, hand delivery or via the Internet.
- For intended award decisions, notice shall be given either
by posting the bid tabulation at the location where the bid was opened or via
the internet.
- Any Protest of Specifications, or Protest of Award, must be
filed with the Clerk of the School Board. Failure to adhere to the filing
requirements and timelines, as specified in School Board Rule 6320-Purchasing,
shall constitute a waiver of proceedings.
- Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in section 120.57(3),
Florida Statutes, or failure to post the bond or other security required by
law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of
proceedings under chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
