Question : Item 4-Motorola: What is the type of equipment the School Board has been purchasing? How many radios does the School Board purchase on an average year? What is the total dollar amount allocated for the entire bid?

Answer : Two previous bids were in place for radios and accessories. Bid # 202-ZC11 ( 8/23/02 to 8/22/03) and 150-ZB11(05/17/02 to 05/16/03). Total expenditures on these two bids were $585,625.00. An analysis of all purchase orders over $3000 reflected purchases of the following radios: Motorola HT750 UHF (qty of 461), Motorola HT750 VHF (qty of 45), Motorola EX500 UHF (qty of 26). Additional purchases on purchase orders under $3000 were not quantified. This included small quantities of radios, accessories, batteries. This is a two-year bid with estimated expenditures of $1,400,000.
