Bid Number : 137-EE07  Opening Date : 8/18/2005
Bid Title : Diesel Fuel 2 for Schools South of Flagler St. Tan
Buyer : L. Arrian
Subject : Misc Questions
Question : 1. Q. Does Dade Schools require an Occupational license from the marketer or from the carrier in Dade County 2. Q. Under delivery instructions page for bid, it states in the first paragraph “The supplier shall furnish oil at the contract price to all schools and departments, North of Flagler St., as listed… Is this typo? 3. Q. There are many school locations listed in the bid. There does not appear to have been an effort made to distiguish (sic) which of these many schools and vocational locations are subject to this offer. Additionally, there is no indication of who has tanks, who buys on this contract or the size of their tank/tanks. 4. Q. The bid indicates that the usage is at 160,000 gallons per year. As many schools as there are and as many students as there are, it will take far more fuel than that to move that many students in Metro Miami. Is this fuel for backup generator purposes or for school system buses? Is 160,000 the actual usage last year on this contract give or take 10%? 5. Q. Do the locations order fuel, or is required that the tankwagon carrier keep an eye on them and top them off when necessary? Are there any usage charts or history that would assist on the estimations of routes? 6.Q. What size are they typical tanks, or at least a range?
