Question : All major lamp mfg. list their price sheets by category. For example, large lamps (standard type), SSTV/Photo (Projector bulbs). Would it be in the best interest of the Board to allow a discount for each category. 
Answer : Although manufacturers list their price sheets by category, and may give different discounts per category, the District elects to receive only one percentage discount for Item 39. All vendors who bid a discount from 0% to 100% will be awarded that line item, and have the opportunity to participate in our future RFQ process. Although vendors give one discount percentage when tendering a bid, it will be the vendor in the future, who provide the lowest net price for an item, when a Request for Quotation (RFQ) is issued.

Question : 1. How does a vendor submit its bid, if the manufacturer, has changed its order code numbers, part numbers, and has product equivalent to items listed? 2. What happens if I do not bid one or several items in a total low group? 3. What happens if I did not receive Bid Addendum No. 1?  
Answer : 1. Bidder’s can bid each Item General Electric has changed its order code number and/or part number, and make note of the correct order code and/or part number on the bid. All order code numbers and part number changes submitted recently by General Electric will be reviewed during the evaluation process, and if deemed necessary, the District may elect to re-evaluate some or all items, to ensure product still meet specifications. Also, if an Item listed, does not show the brand you wish to bid, the bidder can bid an alternate, however, the bidder will be responsible for ensuring M-DCPS, Materials Testing and Evaluation department receive samples, upon request only. 2. In order to be considered for an award for a section that requires a bidder to bid on a total low group basis, the bidder must bid all items in the group. 3. The addendum was mailed in a timely manner and is also posted on our website. All bidders are responsible for governing themselves by Special Condition 29. BID ADDENDUMS: All bidders should monitor continuously, M-DCPS, Procurement and Materials Management website for any addendums that may be posted, prior to the opening of this solicitation.
