Question : 1. How do I become a pre-qualified contractor? 2. How do I get into the pool of contractors for this bid? 3. Do I need a bid performance security bond right now, for this bid? 4. How can I strive to receive work under this bid? 5. Is there a maximum or minimum value for projects to be executed under this contract? 6. What if I do not want to undertake a particular project?

Answer : 1. Start by calling Mr. P. Mickey at 305-995-1420 or E-mail him at Pmickey@Facil.dade.k12.fl.us 2. Only by submitting a bid package, providing us with all requested licenses, insurance certificate, and otherwise meeting the specifications of the bid. 3. No. A performance security bond will only be required in accordance with Instructions to Bidders VII. PERFORMANCE SECURITY. (Please stop and read this section of the bid now). 4. By competitively participating in our Request for Proposal process when notified, and attending project site scope meetings. 5. No. Although projects will generally be less than $200,000, nothing in the documents limits the maximum value of individual projects. It is anticipated that this bid will also be used for repairs, and vendors may be requested to perform minor repairs of minimum value. 6. Do not submit a quote for that project. However, repeated refusals to participate in the quotation process will result in elimination from consideration for all work to be performed under this solicitation.
