Question : I just recieved invitation to bid no 075-JJ07 transmissions factory rebuilt in the mail. I noticed the bid states that the allison authorized dealer must be located within the boundaries of miami-dade,broward and palm beach counties. We are located in polk county, since we got an invatation to bid in the mail are we eligable to submit a bid?  
Answer : The mail notification is sent to every vendor listed on our data base. A vendor may have a headquarters address in another part of the state with a physical branch location in the Dade, Broward or Palm Beach area, which is why the District does not assume an address may not reflect that as the situation. If your firm has a fully owned branch location in any of the 3 above mentioned counties that can supply the specified transmission, you are eligible to participate.

Question : I just got notified of a bid for rebuilt transmissions and I see that in the bid that it must be Allison Retran. We would like to submit a bid but we are not Allison Authorized, however we completely remanufacture all models of Allison Transmissions with all factory Allison transmission parts. If there is any leeway on the terms of the contract? 
Answer : The terms stated in the bid cannot be changed. The requirement that the bidder be an Authorized Allison Transmission Dealer is necessary to become an awarded vendor.
