Question : In the special conditions section item #2 you mention a "% off List for Balance of Line" for "Group 7". However, on each bid form by Group/Brand (Format B spreadsheet), there is a line at the end of each section, 1 - 6, with the "% off List for Balance of Line" as the last line item. I am confused by what this means.  
Answer : Section 7 is for additional manufacturers not listed in Groups 1 through 6

Question : 2. There is a specific ink you are requesting for Epson, line items 84 thru 91 that are strictly limited by Epson to "In Focus" dealers that supply the machines. Many vendors will be unable to supply these and it would be "unfair" to preclude a vendor from bidding on the Epson line due to the inability to get these very special and very limited distribution cartridges.  
Answer : An addendum will be issued to address this section. Please monitor the web site.

Question : Finally, you mention the contract is good through 12/31/2007. How long will we be required to hold the pricing on originals for the bid. Manufactures typically increase prices once a year. However, in 2005, we receive increases twice from some manufacturers. Please advise.  
Answer : Prices must be firm for the first 180 days. After the first 180 days....The awarded bidder(s) shall be approved to participate in Request for Quotations as required. The awarded bidder(s) shall be invited to offer a fixed price for item(s), as specified. These prices must remain fixed and firm as per the Request for Quote (RFQ). Awarded vendor(s) will be placed in a database and shall be contacted via fax, letter, E-mail or other electronic methods for quotes. All awarded vendors(s) will be invited to offer quotes. Results may be posted to the Internet and District Shopping Cart. Schools and District Offices will utilize these prices to make selections based on the specifications required at their site.

Question : There,is a bid that is due next week. There are no classes next week? Should I be concerned?  
Answer : The Districts business offices are open year round. However, an addendum was issued on this bid, which did affect the opening date.
