Answer : Previous Bid #057-AA09, Awarded vendor was Sanitech Systems, Inc. - 0.00967 per meal for 51,400,000 meals for a total award of $497,038. The previous bid was for a one year period as compared to two year period on the pending bid.

Question : Can a vendor bid on individual items on the bid? 
Answer : No. The bid is for a cleaning supply program and all items that are part of the bid must be included in the pricing submitted by the bidder. Award will be to one supplier only.

Question : How much product will you be ordering? Does the vendor have to deliver to each location? When does the new bid take effect? What is meant by individual portion pack? Where should ancillary product samples such as charts, notebooks, and training materials be sent? When does the implementation schedule need to be received  
Answer : The successful bidder determines the quantity of product that is necessary to fulfill the cleaning needs of each location. Normally no more than a 30-day supply of product is kept at each location. Yes, approximately 331 sites must be supplied individually. The current contract expires 5/13/04. The new contract will take effect after that date. The amount of individually wrapped product necessary to complete one cleaning task. These product samples should be sent to the attention of Tom Holmberg at the Department of Food and Nutrition, 7042 West Flagler St., Miami, Florida 33144. Chemical samples should be sent to the Materials Testing and Evaluation address as stated in the bid. Within thirty (30) days after of the award.
