Question : The following question has been received: Item #4 under special terms and conditions. The majority of the clients we have done high dollar volume installations for are governmental and higher educational institutions. They are NOT ALLOWED under their strict regulations to give references in writing. I can obtain a letter from them stating as such and they will be pleased to provide references via telephone. Please advise if this will meet terms under special condition number #4.

Answer : As indicated in the Special Conditions and Specifications, oral references will not be adequate to meet these requirements. The letters should indicate the requirements such as dates, clients, dollar amount, contact information and the scope of work performed. 4. BID SUBMITTALS: Three (3) reference letters, with dates, clients, dollar amount and contact information. 1.02 VENDOR QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS B. Vendors are to provide a minimum of three (3) reference letters detailing similar work performed, and shall include documentation of at least three (3) years experience in televisions systems designing, installing and integration of television production equipment at the industrial/broadcast standard. M-DCPS shall not be used as a reference.
