Question : I have looked over your bid on erate, and saw that you have specified what looks like Cisco and HP. I am wondering if this is even worth us bidding on. Please be honest with me. Is it worth our time to put together a bid for this project? The only concern I would have with your selections would be the pending sale of the Procurve line of HP. No one really knows what is going to happen to the Procurve series if they do indeed change ownership. Please be aware of that. Please let me know if you would consider us to be a part of your network.
Answer : The Districts bidding process is an open and competitive process. Awarded vendors, five per mfg. group, will be on the list the District uses to quote for product purchases as needed.
