Question : This email is to request your consideration, for purposes of RFP # 011-GG04 the acceptance of reciprocity for M/WBE Certification for bidders with M/WBE agreements current and in good standing within neighboring Public Sector organizations including but not limited to the Florida Statewide & Inter-Local Certification (M.B.E), Florida Department of Management Services, Office of Supplier Diversity. Bidders may have been certified as Minority Business Enterprise under the provisions of Chapter 287, Florida Statutes and Inter-Local Agreement. UST and other bidders have been certified with the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc., Orange County Public Schools, and The School Board of Broward County, Florida.  
Answer : No, the District by Board Rule has its own approval process for MWBE certification. Vendors need to submit applications as indicated in the RFP document to the Division of Business and Assistance for certification as a Miami-Dade County Public Schools MWBE vendor. It is recommended that copies of any certifications already received from other agencies accompany your application. Please submit your application as soon as possible and note on the application envelope RFP 011-GG04 ERP, MWBE APPLICATION.
